about this blog

I’m Elizabeth Lee.   I love cooking and eating plant-based food, drinking Yorkshire Tea and craft beer, reading good books, singing, playing piano, and running in Vibram Five Fingers shoes.

My husband and I are transplants to New England, and are falling in love with it more every day.  I’ve dreamed of living near the ocean for all my life, and my husband helped make that dream come true for me.  Our next dream is to have a small, sustainable homestead to grow our own food and limit our reliance on fossil fuels and a faltering economy.

My husband is passionate about the environment and has been installing renewable energy systems for several years now.  He is a man of great optimism, compassion, and energetic idealism, and I’m so proud to be his partner.

I’m coming into my own as a writer, and this blog is as much about that as it is a chronicle of our small-town life and vegan adventures.  I’m currently working on a novel, but I’m not yet sure that I want to pursue a career in fiction.

I have another blog for book reviews, which you can find here:  Elizabeth Editorializes

I made this blog to share the things in my world that I find to be beautiful and strange, or otherwise interesting.  I have a lot to say and a lot of love to give.  I guess you could say this is my love letter to the world.
